FLAME University is the pioneer of liberal education in India. The world is living in “strange and uncertain times” more than before. In an era of disruption, there are uncertainties galore in each sphere of the global environment encompassing trade, international relations, economic growth, development & sustainability, social & political environment, health & education, finance & banking, etc. The haze of uncertainty is undoubtedly challenging one and all across the globe to rethink about the strategic options to reposition oneself in the emerging era of new normal. This conference aims at bringing academicians, practitioners and policy makers from the above-mentioned domains to discuss, debate the intricacies of these challenges that would foster clarity of the thought process in formulation of relevant strategies. This conference also aims to facilitate young researchers expand their capacity by providing them with an opportunity for cross country and cross discipline learning and knowledge sharing.

The Indian Econometric Society (TIES)

TIES is a registered society under Public Societies Registration Act, formed in 1960. It is one of the oldest and largest body of professional econometricians and quantitative economists with more than 2000 members from all over India and abroad. TIES organizes annual conference where experts from all over India and abroad participate and deliberate on various issues. The Journal of Quantitative Economics (JQEC) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal and bi-annual publication of TIES with issues in June and December.

The WageIndicator Foundation, Amsterdam (www.wageindicator.org)

The WageIndicator Foundation started in 2001 to contribute to a more transparent labour market for workers and employers. It collects, compares and shares labour market information through (online & face-face) surveys and desk research. It serves as a global and national online library for wage information, Labour Law and career advice.

The WageIndicator Foundation is assisted by world-renowned universities, trade unions and employers’ organisations and currently operates in 92 countries. Its international staff consists of some 100 specialists worldwide. The WageIndicator Foundation is a global organization reaching millions on a monthly basis. WageIndicator is in India since 2006 with Paycheck.in.

Papers need not necessarily be restricted to the above-mentioned sub-themes but should be related to the main theme of the conference. Interdisciplinary research papers related to the broad theme are also welcome.

FLAME University is pleased to offer research colloquium to researchers on some cutting edge empirical research methodologies for social sciences and business using structured and unstructured data. The workshop will cover topics like handling unstructured data, quantitative and qualitative data, academic writing, policy and related topics for researchers. The workshop is intended for research scholars to help them in their research and publication. The workshop will be conducted by eminent people from academia and industry. The pre-conference workshop is scheduled on February 28, 2019. Participants are also encouraged to attend the pre-conference workshop. Please email a copy of your CV to the conference email if you are interested to attend the pre-conference workshop.

Campus accommodation will be provided to the colloquium participants on a chargeable basis (INR 1000 for February 28, 2019).

  • All contributors are requested to send the abstract of the research paper as an email attachment in MS word file format (.doc). The Abstract should include brief summary within 500 words on the research topic with details of author’s affiliation, correspondence address and contact number on a separate page.
  • Full length research paper should not exceed 5,000 words.
  • Follow APA guidelines, the text of the paper will be in double space, 12 font, Times New Roman, keeping a margin of one inch on three sides. MS Word 2003 for Windows (.doc format) is required.
  • All submissions will be subjected to blind review process after which we will intimate the authors and request for the final presentation pack.
  • Outstanding paper awards of Rs.10,000 each will be given to five best papers on the conference theme presented at the Conference.
  • Contributions should be restricted to one paper per individual as the first author.

  • A return a/c three-tier train fare will be provided to select Ph. D. Research Scholars based in India, with accepted papers, on the basis of evaluated merit.

There is no Fee for Registration in the Doctoral Colloquium.
