FLAME has a cultural fest called FLAME Fest. It includes competitions like gaming, poetry writing, creative writing, public speaking, advertising contests, dumb charades, treasure hunt, art marathons, singing, photography, dance, drama and fashion show, amongst others.
The Google Online Marketing Challenge is a highly contested international competition in which over 100,000 students and professors from almost 100 countries participate. Students had participated in this competition as a part of the 'Digital Marketing Advanced' course offered by FLAME School of Communication.
First Cut is an all India festival of student films organized by FLAME University to provide an active platform to young filmmakers in the country and encourage them to explore the medium of film as a reflection of the society they inhabit as well as a potential agent of change. First Cut believes that freedom is essential for any creative work and hence provides its participants the complete freedom to choose their own themes and style of work.
NOW is a seminar series created with the objective of providing insights about critical issues facing the world today and exploring new options. This annual event is entirely student run and invites experts from various walks of life to share experiences, ideas, and debate upon pre-selected themes that are relevant to today’s world order.
The FLAME Entrepreneurship Lab is an initiative that fosters entrepreneurial spirit among students of FLAME. The aim of the Entrepreneurship Lab is to give the students hands-on experience about the creation, inception and management of an entrepreneurship venture by providing them initial seed capital.
This is a competition organised by IIM Ahmedabad and Motilal Oswal. Aiming to educate the younger generation on equity and process- based equity investing, Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company has partnered with The Red Brick Summit, the flagship annual symposium of IIM Ahmedabad to create an initiative – the ‘Motilal Oswal Think Equity Think QGLP Contest’. The contest provides a forum for B-school students to test their stock-picking skills, present it to a panel, and win cash prizes.
AXIS 20:20 is an annual corporate meet organized by AXIS Capital. Selected FLAME students get the opportunity to attend the meet. Students interact with industry leaders and get an understanding of current economics and industry trends.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global competition which tests the analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills of university students. Last year nearly 2500 students from over 546 universities in 45 countries participated and learned best practices in equity research from leading industry experts.
FLAME Finance and Investment Club (FFIC) aims to provide members with skills to help them improve their understanding of the financial markets. It is a medium that bridges theory with practice. It aims to “connect” the seemingly disparate information flow in today’s cyber world. FFIC tries to mimic, as closely as possible, how investment decisions are made in the real world.
The Discover India Program (DIP) is an integral part of the experiential learning component of the undergraduate curriculum of FLAME University. It is a credit course. The program’s primary focus is on exploring, understanding, and experiencing the rich culture and heritage of India. Some of the aspects of study include fine and performing arts practices and traditions, historical monuments and architecture, social customs, religious traditions/practices, festivals, rites and traditional livelihood practices.
The Developmental Activities Program (DAP) is designed to get students to recognize the socio-economic realities of India at the grassroots and understand how organizations have developed to address these problems.
