A concentration is a specialized area of study or a thematic approach within a broader discipline or across disciplines. The focus is on coursework in a particular subfield of a broader discipline, providing in-depth knowledge and skills relevant to that niche area. Interdisciplinary concentrations are specialized academic tracks that combine courses and perspectives from two or more different disciplines or fields. Offered in Year IV as an optional set of courses, concentration gives students the opportunity to tailor their learning experience to their academic interests and career goals.
Concentrations are advanced areas of study that require specific foundational knowledge. Unlike general electives, eligibility is based on defined Major–Minor combinations. The Major–Minor combination determines the concentrations you can pursue in Year IV.
