The second year of the MBA program at FLAME University has Capstone Courses, Specialization Courses from various management domains, Open Elective Courses and Liberal Education Courses.
Capstone Courses are a set of mandatory general management courses which provide holistic understanding of the management domain. MBA students are expected to complete five (5) Capstone Courses in their second year.
During the second year, MBA students have a choice to declare either a major, a minor, or both, which they can specialize in. They may choose their major or minor from: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations and Entrepreneurship. To earn a major, a student has to complete no less than six (6) courses and normally not more than eight (8) from a particular field of specialization. They may choose their minor from: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Advertising and Branding and Digital Marketing and Communications. To earn a minor, a student has to complete no less than four (4) courses from a particular field of specialization. For the remaining courses, students choose Open Elective Courses from different business/management domains as per their interest. It is not mandatory to declare/choose a major or minor. Students who do not declare a major, a minor or both, will have meet their MBA program requirements by choosing Open Elective Courses subject to prerequisites.
Liberal Education Courses in the second year comprise courses in interdisciplinary areas. MBA students are expected to complete four (4) Liberal Education Courses out of which two (2) need to be in foreign languages {two [2] levels in any one foreign language in their second year.
