Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and Operations are offered as majors and Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Advertising and Branding and Digital Marketing and Communications are offered as minor in MBA program and Advertising and Branding, Film and Television and Digital Marketing and Communications are offered as majors and minors and students can also take a minor in Human Resource Management, Operations and Entrepreneurship in the MBA (Communications Management ) program.

The MBA Program has rigorous academic processes, updated and relevant curriculum, liberal education courses, extensive industry interaction, sports and vibrant student activities which can be achieved best in a residential setting.

For the MBA program choosing/ declaring a major or minor are not mandatory but are highly recommended. The choice of major and minor has to be declared at the end of the fourth term in the first year.

The MBA Program is accepted into the coveted CFA University Affiliation Program.

The MBA program offers 5 majors namely Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and Operations and 7 minors namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Advertising and Branding and Digital Marketing and Communications The MBA ( Communications Management ) program offer 3 majors namely Advertising and Branding, Film and Television and Digital Marketing and Communications and 6 minors namely Advertising and Branding, Film and Television and Digital Marketing and Communications, Human Resource Management, Operations and Entrepreneurship.

The choice of major and minor has to be declared at the end of the fourth term in the first year.

Yes, it is possible to change the major and minor if it is operational in the academic session of the students’ batch when the change is being sought also it has to be requested to the registrar with applicable charges within 5 terms of the commencement of the academic program. The student has the option to withdraw from the Major, repeat the 3rd semester and fulfill the requirements of the new Major but this will normally increase the graduating time by at least 6 months and also attract additional fees and charges.

No, a change in Major which results in a MBA program becoming a MBA (Communications Management) program is not possible. Neither is the reverse possible.

Students need to earn minimum 90 credits; minimum 36 credits of Core courses, minimum 10 credits of capstone courses, minimum 12 credits of liberal education courses. They also have to fulfil requirements of the Summer Internship projects and sports grade for 4 sports courses to complete an MBA degree.

FLAME University’s MBA is rooted in liberal education. FLAME University recognized the need for professional managers who are not only adept at their chosen profession but are also socially conscious and environmentally aware. The education imparted in the MBA program at FLAME University covers various domains of Social Sciences, Humanities, Foreign Languages and Fine & Performing Arts, besides deep domain knowledge of management. All MBA students at FLAME University need to take Liberal Education Courses. These courses form the mandatory liberal education component of the MBA program at FLAME University.

Open Elective courses are any postgraduate level business/management courses that students may choose without restriction (subject to meeting course prerequisites). The number of Open Elective courses will depend on whether a student declares/chooses a major or minor.

For the MBA and MBA (Communications Management) programs FLAME University offers 2 levels in 3 foreign languages namely French, German and Spanish.

Core Courses cover all foundation areas of management: Finance, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Economics, Statistics and Accounting. MBA students are expected to complete twenty (20) Core Courses in their first year. The purpose of these courses is to lay down a strong foundation to build on in any specialization.

Capstone Courses are a set of mandatory general management courses which provide holistic understanding of the management domain. MBA students are expected to complete five (5) Capstone Courses in their second year.

Yes, FLAME University has a strong Global Connect. For PG students FLAME University offers a Study abroad program at IESEG School of Management (France).

The Library of Mistakes is a charitable venture located in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, founded to promote the study of financial history. The Library of Mistakes exists to allow students, professionals and members of the general public to study financial history to understand how finance has worked, rather than how it should work if key unrealistic assumptions are made. The Library of Mistakes is proud to announce its first international association with FLAME University's Vivekananda Library. This proves to be a great fit with the FLAME Investment Lab and its focus on business history, financial history and value investing.

Yes, it is possible for MBA students to participate at FIL provided he fulfills certain prerequisites.

Curricular innovation is constantly updating and enhancing the curricular to be abreast of the changing economic and market scenario and also make the syllabus and learning more relevant to the students and at par with changes happening in professional degrees in India and abroad so as to increase employability of every student. The FLAME Investment Lab, CFA Institute Research Challenge, FLAME Entrepreneurship Lab, Discovering Realignment Initiatives of Visionary Enterprises and Rising Sectors (DRIVERS) and AXIS 20:20 Investor Conference are all part of the curricular innovation.

The teaching definitely has practical orientation in form of constant and extensive industry interaction in forms of guest lectures from Industry experts. It also has the mandatory Summer Internship Program for 8 weeks where students are expected to work in an organization and submit a project report along with presentation.

MBA program can be assessed on different components depending on the course structure. Some examples of course assessment components are as stated below. Assessment components for a typical theory course are class participation, tests, assignments and end-semester exams; assessment components for a research based course leading to a final research paper are class participation, assignments, viva-voce, presentations and comprehension term paper. Assessment components for a research based course are assignments, mid-term project progress and final project and finally assessment components for a course in theatre are class participation, pre-performance preparation and final performance.

Yes 4 courses in sports are mandatory for a student to be eligible for graduation. If students don’t pass the sports courses they will have to repeat the sports course in a subsequent semester with additional fees.

Sports facilities for sports ranging from Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Billiards are available on the FLAME University campus along with a Gymnasium and a Mix Martial Art Studio as well.

The CFA Program curriculum covers concepts and skills you will use at all stages of your career. The self-paced, online format makes it easier for you to continue working while you complete the program. Completing the CFA Program shows employers and clients you have mastered a broad range of practical portfolio management and advanced investment analysis skills. FLAME University has become the latest institute to be welcomed into the CFA University Recognition Program. FLAME has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program. This program positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world. Entry into the CFA University Recognition Program signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that FLAME's MBA curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this program, FLAME University is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year.

In our postgraduate programs we offer Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (Communications Management). FLAME Scholars Program offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies and Research; Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies and Research and Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Studies and Research.

FSB and FSC students are usually working in Banks, Private sectors, NGOs, Journalism, TV, Films, Finance, Social entrepreneurship etc.

FLAME University has had several national level sports players attend our academic programme and we provide full support. Our facilities include Tennis, Basketball and volleyball courts, a football ground with six lines running tracks, Cricket pitch, and an outdoor Olympic size Swimming pool. There are facilities for indoor games like Badminton, Snooker, Squash and Table Tennis in the sports complex. We also have Chess, gym and Martial Arts. FLAME University has arrangements with the adjacent Golf course for students to play Golf. Also, there is provision for a sports scholarship, provided certain criteria are met.
