Dr. Poonam Gandhi is as Associate Professor of Sociology at FLAME University. She holds a Doctoral degree in Sociology, with her research situated in the field of Sociology of Art. She earned her Master’s degree in Sociology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and her Bachelor & degree from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Additionally, she holds Diplomas in Human Resource Management and Foundation Art.
Dr. Gandhi’s academic contributions encompass several peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters. She is the author of The World of Contemporary Fine Artists: An Exploration in Sociology of Art. Her research explores the intersections of art, culture, gender, heritage, urban life, sociology of family and social gerontology.
Her work has received national and international recognition, including research supported by the Ford Foundation and SEWA, and accolades from conferences in Washington D.C. and across India.
