FLAME Upskill is a series of exclusive workshops for high school students on interdisciplinary topics from various fields spanning humanities, sciences, artificial intelligence, communication, sports and arts amongst others. The series will focus on helping high school students develop crucial skills necessary for a journey of lifelong learning. The series has been conceptualized as a reflection of the liberal education ethos practiced and delivered at FLAME University. Attendees will receive a Letter of Participation in appreciation for their efforts during the workshop. These workshops will be conducted for a limited number of participants and selection will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.

DEMYSTIFYING PERSONAL FINANCE FOR ACHIEVING FINANCIAL FREEDOM

Saturday, 07th November, 2020 | 04.00 pm to 05.30 pm

Over the course of this workshop, we will consider:

Financial freedom is an objective that can be met effectively if one is financially literate. This workshop will address many critical rules of personal finance that when sincerely applied could help to achieve financial freedom. We will reflect on the golden rules of budgeting, investing, asset allocation, risk and return, and taxes.

SPEAKER

Prof. Shernaz Bodhanwala | Ph.D. - Finance, Banasthali University, Rajasthan; Associate Professor - Finance, FLAME University

Prof. Shernaz Bodhanwala is a chartered accountant and holds a doctorate degree in finance. She has nearly two decades of experience in industry, teaching and training. Her research interests lie in developing business case studies that enrich class room learning for her students. Her other research interests include capital markets, corporate governance and corporate sustainability.
