Prof. Rahul Goswami is an Assistant Professor - Marketing at FLAME University. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Marketing from Vinod Gupta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He completed his PGDM in Marketing from the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), where he received the IFMR Best Student All-Rounder Memorial Award. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.
Prior to his doctoral journey, Prof. Rahul Goswami gained over a year of industry experience in marketing and outreach through managerial roles at Krea University, TekPlaySystems, and CrackVerbal Edu Tech. He has also been working as a freelance consultant for over five years and has completed several industry consultancy projects, working with global clients on market research and consumer behaviour studies across diverse sectors, including retail and dairy. Apart from his industry and consulting experience, he has worked as an active teaching assistant at IIT Kharagpur for MBA, executive programmes, and NPTEL MOOC courses.
His research interests include the role of values in shaping consumer behaviour, service failure and recovery, social entrepreneurship, green consumption, and the sharing economy. His research has also received grants from reputable international organizations, including the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) KAKENHI and the Foundation for Dietary Scientific Research. His research has been published in top marketing and consumer behaviour journals, including the European Journal of Marketing (ABDC A*) and the International Journal of Consumer Studies (ABDC A). He has also published a book chapter with Springer Nature. His research has also been presented at leading international conferences, including EMAC, the World Marketing Congress, the Academy of Marketing, the British Academy of Management, and the AP-ACR.
