Prof. Pawel Atroszko is a Professor – Psychology at FLAME University. Prof. Pawel Atroszko has a Doctorate Degree and Habilitation in Psychology from the University of Gdańsk. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies, both from the University of Gdańsk.
Prof. Pawel Atroszko has over 18 years of work experience, including in industry and academia. He was the principal investigator on research projects funded by various nationally and internationally competitive research grants, including the National Science Centre in Poland (NCN), the Ministry of Higher Education and Science, the Norway Grants, and the Research Council of Norway. He was awarded over 40 international and national awards/distinctions/scholarships, including National Education Commission Medal - the highest honor for contributions to education in Poland, First Award in the National Competition for the Best Supervisor of a Student Research Group StRuNa 2023, Scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for Outstanding Young Scientists in Poland, and First Award for the Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis from Emerald Publishing and the Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL) for researchers from all over the world.
He is currently co-leading (with Prof. Edyta Charzyńska from the University of Silesia) a global study on work addiction and its association with health, burnout, and occupational depression across more than 90 cultures on six continents. He is a co- founder of the website workaddiction.org, which provides up-to-date scientific information on work addiction. His research interests include behavioral addictions, clinical and health psychology, work and organizational psychology, psychology of education, psychometrics and statistics.
