BIO

Prof. Murari Srinivasa is an Assistant Professor – Business Analytics at the FLAME School of Business. Prof. Murari holds a doctorate in Decision Sciences from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He did his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, after completing his Engineering in Information Technology from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.


Prof. Murari comes with almost thirteen years of industry experience in management and leadership roles prior to his doctoral journey. During his tenure with globally renowned organizations such as Johnson & Johnson Ltd. and the Walt Disney Company he was instrumental in driving the growth of iconic consumer brands such as Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, and Johnson’s Baby. He also helped establish fundamental marketing, research, and analytics processes at leading Indian organizations like Cholayil Pvt. Ltd. and K7 Computing.


His PhD dissertation, titled “Building Last-mile Connectivity to Urban Public Transit Systems: A Decision Sciences Perspective”, lies at the intersection of transportation, marketing and public policy research, with significant portions from the work having been presented at leading international management conferences. 
 
Prof. Murari’s research interests include urban mobility, optimization, spatial analytics, and marketing analytics.

  • Wipro Sustainability Fellowship at IIM Bangalore for academic year 2024-2025.

  • Seventeenth rank at the Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) in December 1997 conducted by the National Board of Higher Mathematics.

  • 3rd position ahead of more than 70 other teams from premier institutes across India, Bangladesh, and China, in the prestigious International Collegiate Programming Contest organized by the India chapter of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in Kolkata, October 2003.

  • Best Marketing Initiative at Johnson & Johnson for Clean & Clear™ brand launch in December, 2008.
