Prof. Gaurav Pai
Prof. Gaurav Pai is an Adjunct Faculty - Film & Television Management at FLAME University. Prof. Gaurav Pai has PhD in Cinema and Media Studies (Comparative Literature); He has a Graduate Certificate in Science, Technology and Society Studies (STS) & MA in International Studies from University of Washington, Seattle; He also holds M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery), King Edward Memorial Hospital & Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai
He has over five years of work experience in both industry and academia. He was associated with The Economic Times, Reuters News, Mumbai and University of Washington, Seattle.
He has conducted primary archival research in Mexico and the U.S., examining historical newspapers, magazines, government documents, and films. His research interests include media technologies, media archaeology, documentary theory, contemporary cinema, and transnational film technology. Dissertation focuses on a comparative history of small-gauge filmmaking in Mexico and the U.S. during the mid-20th century.
During his free time, he enjoys travelling and listening to music.
