Prof. Faizul Haque is an Assistant Professor - Operations & Analytics at FLAME University. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His doctoral dissertation received the “Emerging Economies Doctoral Dissertation Award” from the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) in Reno, Nevada, U.S., in recognition of its contribution to operations and supply chain management research. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology.
Before pursuing his doctoral studies, Prof. Faizul worked as a Technical Engineer at Uni-Pol India (a Doncasters Group company) and interned with Tata Motors. During his doctoral programme, he served as a teaching assistant for MBA and executive education courses at IIM Calcutta and independently conducted academic assimilation workshops in quantitative methods.
His research lies at the intersection of retail operations, supply chain strategy, platform economics, and socially responsible supply chains. His work employs analytical modeling, behavioral experiments, and empirical methods to study strategic interactions in supply chains and digital platforms. His research has been presented at leading international conferences, including the Academy of Management (AOM), the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), and the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI).
