Prof. Dhruva Teja Nandipati

Prof. Dhruva Teja Nandipati is an Academic Specialist – Economics at FLAME University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. His research lies at the intersection of behavioural economics, development economics, and social networks, with a particular focus on social norms, identity, and renewable energy adoption.

He previously served as a Graduate Research (Teaching) Assistant at the University of Leicester, where he taught undergraduate modules in Microeconomics, Mathematics for Economics, and Introductory Econometrics. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he contributed to research in behavioural and experimental economics, including the design of survey instruments and experimental protocols. He also played a key role in establishing the Leicester Experimental Economics Laboratory (LExEconLab), supporting the development of its research infrastructure, laboratory operations, participant recruitment systems, and the implementation of experimental studies. Before commencing his doctoral studies, he worked as a Research Analyst at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), New Delhi, contributing to research on fiscal policy, energy transition, and macroeconomic policy.

His research work has been recognised through publications in peer-reviewed journals, edited book chapters, and policy outlets, as well as presentations at international conferences and academic seminars. His notable contributions include research on fiscal implications of the energy transition and macroeconomic policy in emerging economies. His research interests include behavioural economics, development economics, experimental economics, environmental economics, and public policy.
