Navneet Munot is the MD & CEO of HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (HDFC AMC). HDFC AMC manages over ₹8 lakh crore across equity and fixed income funds and serves 1.25 crore individual and institutional investors. Navneet is also on the board of HDFC International (IFSC) Limited.

In his prior role, he served as Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at SBI Funds Management Private Limited. As CIO, he was responsible for overseeing investments exceeding USD 150 billion across various asset classes in mutual funds and segregated accounts. He also served as a nominee director on the Board of SBI Pension Funds Private Limited. In a career spanning over three decades, Navneet also worked with Morgan Stanley Investment Management as Executive Director & Head of a multi-strategy boutique and with Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund as Chief Investment Officer – Fixed Income and Hybrid Funds. Funds managed by Navneet have won awards and recognition from independent agencies for consistent risk-adjusted returns.

Navneet is the Chairman of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), chair of the SEBI Advisory Committee on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), and a member of the Board of the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), established by SEBI to enhance capacity and quality standards in the securities markets. He is also a board member of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

Navneet was Chairperson of CFA Society India and has contributed to several national and international working groups. He served on the CFA Institute’s Education Advisory Committee (EAC), which guides the Global Body of Investment Knowledge (GBIK) and the CFA Program curriculum.

Navneet is a member of the Governance Committee for the Corporate Debt Market Development Fund (CDMDF), managed by SBI Funds Management, and serves on the advisory council of the Indian Association of Investment Professionals (IAIP). He has been a key member of several committees constituted by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). He is also on the Advisory Committee of SEBI’s Investor Protection and Education Fund (IPEF).

Beyond finance, Navneet is part of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) of the Indian Cancer Society (ICS), which works on awareness, detection, treatment, and support for cancer patients across India.

Navneet holds a Master’s degree in Accountancy and Business Statistics and is a rank-holding Chartered Accountant. He is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, and has completed the Financial Risk Management (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
