Nine undergraduate students from FLAME University turn Road Rulers for Pune Times Mirror, Civic Mirror and Pune City Traffic Police’s Zara Dekh Ke Chalo

Sure, it took them hours to reach Pune University Circle, thanks to the traffic, but nothing — rising mercury or slight rains — could dampen their spirit for they’re determined to do their bit toward bettering Pune’s traffic condition.

Excited, and sporting the campaign T-shirts, holding placards with quirky lines, educating about traffic rules and whistles to direct the traffic, Riddhi Shah, Saranya Menon, Mihir Pillamari, Sharayu Pednekar, Krati Gupta, Shruti Bhat, Oom Rawat, Sai Ananya Mallapragada and Cressida Mathew, undergraduate students of FLAME University turned into Road Rulers at Pune University Circle. When they learnt about Pune Times Mirror, Civic Mirror and Pune City Traffic Police’s traffic safety campaign, ‘Zara Dekh Ke Chalo’, they jumped at the opportunity and decided to dedicate a few hours to the campaign.

The traffic cops, stationed at the busy signal, took them under their wings and taught them about the basics of traffic discipline and taught them how to man the flow of vehicles, help pedestrians and also school violators. The students thanked Mirror for this noble initiative and for providing them with the opportunity to contribute towards making Pune a better city, as far as traffic is concerned.
