FLAME School of Communication alumnus, Aditi Thakor, is about to release her very first Gujarati feature film- BHANWAR!
Aditi Thakor is an alumnus of the FLAME School of Communication. Faculty of the school remember her as a keen, hardworking and passionate student. It is remarkable that she has stuck to her passion and craft and is on the verge of making a feature film.
It took Aditi one and a half years to write the script which was revised at least twelve times. This was followed by a greater challenge – raising funds. This film was selected for a Free Crowd Funding Platform from Switzerland and by Children's Film Society of India. However, nothing materialized. After three years and one hundred presentations later, she was able to raise funds for her film. Her husband, Yogender, who is also the Creative Producer and Editor of the film, supported and helped her through the process.
Aditi proudly states, “Being from the field of art, craft, music and dance and the wonderful learning platform that FLAME School of Communication gave me, led my path and helped me have a clearer vision of where I wanted to stand in life. My faculty enriched this journey with their teachings and continued their support that still goes on even today! FLAME is not only a place where I studied but I proudly say that it's where I also teach now as a visiting faculty.”
She added, “Films are a canvas that give me enough space where I can explore my writing, music, painting, dancing and visualizing skills. The art merged with the craft is very exciting and I am finally coming up with my first Gujarati feature film, 'Bhanwar'. I have a wonderful team and we were full of excitement and contentment when for the first time we heard, ‘Film Bhanwar, scene 1, shot 1, take 1 – CLAP’!”

Pleasure of the outcome of intense efforts was so evident on her face – in fact she reflected the body language of an achiever.
