Webinars

The India Centre, FLAME University, is delighted to invite you to a webinar with Prof. Pritha Chakraborty:

Drawing from mythology, fiction, and lived narratives, Prof. Chakraborty will explore “Tripathagamini Ganga: The Intersectional Flows of the River in Indian Mythology, Fiction, and Experiential Narratives.” From the Puranic goddess to folk traditions of Bengal, from oral narratives of riverine communities to Amitav Ghosh’s The Hungry Tide, the lecture traces the Ganga’s many currents—religious, ecological, and cultural. This engaging session invites reflection on human–river entanglements and the ways Indian traditions shape our understanding of nature, devotion, and community life.
