"Leadership Lessons for Entrepreneurs" - A Talk by Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali

Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali is a well known thought leader and a businessman. He served the economy and capital markets of India as the Co-founder of ENAM Securities, a reputed homegrown merchant banking and investor group, for over three décades and then moved over to the social and spiritual fields.

ENAM played a significant role in the development of leading business houses such as Infosys, Reliance, Sterlite, Zee,Inox, Jindal, Thermax, etc. and several Govt. companies such as NTPC, PGCL, etc.. In 2010 ENAM merged its advisory business with Axis Bank.

In 2011 he anchored a popular TV show ‘Kaun Hai Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ which focused on the need to foster volunteerism and patriotism.

Besides being Founding Governing Body member, FLAME University he has launched Desh Apnayen Foundation focusing on strengthening Democracy and fostering a sense of active citizenship and volunteerism. More than 500 schools in 11 states have partnered it in its main initiative of creating ACTIZENs.

He is very actively engaged as a Trustee with Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana, India’s leading NGO involved in calamity relief and the creator of Mulyavardhan, a Constitutional Value education program. Mulyavardhan has been rolled out across all the Govt schools of Maharashtra and Goa and gradually going across the country. 

BJS is also working on Drought relief in Maharashtra and several other states under its unique Whole District Relief model, an ‘all hands together in a public movement’. Starting with Buldhana in March 18 in mere 10 months the same has been adopted by 26 districts of India.

He is the President of Federation of Jain Educational Institutes, a BJS body. FJEI’s vision is to help the 4,000 plus educational institutions to upgrade and transform into a force multiplier for India’s progress by offering courses that are experiential and future proof. Currently, 100 schools are being advised on Whole School Transformation using FJEI’s unmatched toolkit.

Satya Vigyan Foundation co-produced a film that captured 6000 years of History of Yoga which film is now a part of the national heritage. Another major film on the identity of Bharat and its multifaceted deep culture is readying for release.

The Foundation’s course on Samyakttva or right vision and knowledge, a unique feature of Indian thought, as the foundation of all progress and not merely spiritual progress, is receiving great response across the country.

He is an ardent Vipassana meditator and was the former chairman of the Global Vipassana Foundation.

He has served on several policy making & advisory committees of the Central Government and other regulatory bodies. He is a member of the Board of RBI (West Zone). He is a Trustee of the Bombay Stock Exchange. He is on the Board of Directors of many reputed companies.
