"From Microscope to Kaleidoscope: Discussions on Queer Rights and Other Issues"

The talk will cover a variety of aspects including Harish Iyer's life and experiences as an openly gay man, the Section 377 verdict, the Transgender Bill, the Pink Economy, Child sexual abuse, and the role of activism. Post the talk, the floor will be open for questions. 

About Mr. Harish Iyer:  

Not only has Harish Iyer featured alongside personalities like Ellen De Generes, Ricky Martin, Elton John and Ellen Page on The Guardian's list of 100 most influential LGBT people in the world, he is also an acclaimed  life coach, writer, consultant, and YouTuber. His is also an activist promoting the rights of queer individuals, women and child sexual abuse survivors; for which he has received the CNN Zindagi Live award and the Bharat Petroleum - Energising Bharat awardPink Pages has also named him as one of India's seven most influential gay and lesbian people. Based in Navi Mumbai, Harish Iyer presently  runs his radio show, 'The Gaydio Show' on ISHQ 104.8 FM which brings to light the experiences of LGBTQIA+ persons, and is a columnist with DNA, FirstPost and TheQuint.com (and also has other publications in The Times of India, The Wall Street Journal, and so on), and serves as a motivational speaker on a multitude of platforms including TEDx Talks.
