BIO

Kasturi has completed her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her thesis is titled “Apology and Identity in International Politics: Case Studies of Germany, Pakistan, and Turkey”, in which she examines the role of state identity in determining why some states say sorry for their violent pasts while some states do not with the help of the abovementioned case studies. In the course of her doctoral research, Kasturi received a DAAD fellowship to conduct part of her research in Goettingen University (Germany) and also presented and published from her work in India and abroad. Previously, she did her M.Phil. and M.A. in international politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and B.A. (Hons) from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. Kasturi has taught as Assistant Professor of Political Science at Zakir Husain College (Delhi University), Swami Shraddhanand College (Delhi University), and Sikkim Manipal University. 



RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS

Her current research interests include IR theory, memory politics, historical justice, genocides and genocide denial.
