Exploration and Dialogue Space (EDS) is an initiative that provides time, space and a person to students to explore themselves. Here processes are initiated through experiential mode to help students manage their day to day dilemmas of living on the campus and growing up. Emerging ideas and suggestions are examined to enhance creativity, sensitivity and a sense of well being. Students delve deeper into their inner environment by sharing their experiences.
The scope of work includes: Personal Growth, Academic Counselling and Career Counselling
EDS plays a supportive role by enhancing opportunities for learning and personal growth. Students delve deeper into their inner environment by sharing their experiences during projects, assignments, excursions and development activities. Emerging ideas and suggestions are examined to enhance creativity, sensitivity and a sense of well being. There is tremendous scope for a better understanding of self and hence managing self.
Academic counseling is offered to help students explore and arrive at coherent choices of subjects. Students are provided guidance in understanding the contents of the various courses, assessing their own skills, abilities and interests through a scientific process carried out with the help of appropriate aptitude and assessment tools and techniques.
Students share their aspirations to explore various career options. Career guidance through 1:1 sessions helps in understanding the nature and world of formal systems and institutions. Students gain perspectives and develop strategies towards the achievement of personal goals. A special space is designated for group and individual work where anchor persons are available to facilitate the process.
