The FLAME Vivekananda Library with its state-of-the-art building, hardware, software and other allied resources is fast developing into one of the finest university libraries in the country. Its inviting architecture provides an ambience that is relaxed but modern; and space that is large yet intimate. The resources available include books on an impressive array of subjects, course specific reading material, academic journals and various digital resources. It houses sufficient reference and reading material for students and faculty from multiple disciplines, including liberal education. Books from humanities, social sciences, applied sciences, management, media, journalism, literature, environment, religion, languages, amongst various others adorn its shelves.

Kalidas Centre For Performing Arts

Kalidas - the air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of over 200 is a central space at FLAME always abuzz with activity - academic, artistic, cultural, creative and delightfully entertaining. University and school level theatre, sporting and musical performances, and special university ceremonies are a regular feature at Kalidas. These are also the regular practicing arenas for students’ informal club meetings and get-togethers.

Chanakya Lecture Theatre

FLAME has numerous classrooms of varying capacity, all fully air-conditioned and equipped with modern audio-visual and other facilities to enhance students’ classroom experience. The design of each classroom is intensely contemporary and incorporates the current trends in learning-space design.

Classrooms at FLAME are designed to be not only technology-rich environments that expand instructional options for faculty but also profound places of revelation and discovery for students. Well-designed interiors are aimed to elevate intellectual discourse, encourage creativity, and promote collaborative learning.

Wireless technology brings the internet not just to every academic building, but also to every desk in the classroom. Amphitheatres

The six outdoor amphitheaters - one with the captivatingly scenic backdrop of the FLAME valley - are central spaces at FLAME always abuzz with activity - academic, artistic, cultural, creative and delightfully entertaining. University and school level theatre and musical performances are a regular feature at the amphitheaters. These are also the regular practicing arenas for students’ informal club meetings and get-togethers.

Plaza

The FLAME Plaza - the hub of all student activity – lies virtually ensconced between quiet water bodies and whispering fountains. Its long benches, the rustling trees, a welcoming gazebo and walkways paved in glossy grey stone provide an ideal stage for all informal discussions, reflections and celebrations. It is in the Plaza that students and faculty meet informally in socially catalytic interactions, conversations and activities.

Eateries

Dining Hall

FLAME has state-of-the-art dining and kitchen facilities and serves only vegetarian food. Non-vegetarian food is not allowed on campus. Meals provided include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner - all seven days a week. Students are issued plates for food through a biometric system at a counter at the entrance to the dining hall. FLAME's central Dining Hall features buffet style dining with three serving stations (including Jain) offering an extensive selection of everyday favourites with rotating recipes. A salad bar is an integral part of the offering at the Dining Hall during both lunch and dinner. The Dining Hall caters to various kinds of cuisines like Indian, Continental, Chinese, Italian, etc. at varying frequencies. Specialty-themed cuisines are served on festivals and some holidays.

Menus are decided by the Mess Committee in consultation with Administration and the Catering Agency, Sodexo. Sodexo on-site services have a direct link to services in India back to 1966. Sodexo has consolidated its leadership position in catering by providing a range of comprehensive service solutions for clients, their employees and visitors in the corporate, education, healthcare and remote sites segments delivering their solutions to more than 1,000 sites.

Restaurants & Cafes

In addition to the central dining hall, there is an excellent choice on campus of places where students can eat at reasonable prices – restaurants and cafes that provide various kinds of snacks. These serve vegetarian snacks and soft drinks. FLAME has a Café Coffee Day outlet on campus and a juice bar - the Juice Press. Juice Press serves fresh and healthy fruits, juices and other smoothies and desserts. The fast-food serving Times Cafe offers a variety of delicacies and refreshments.

Computer Lab

Students and faculty members have 24-hour Wi-Fi internet and intranet portal access. At the time of registration, each student is given a unique e-mail and login ID. Students have to log in to the FLAME network to access the internet. FLAME’s interface with the internet is firewalled. The FLAME community is requested to read FLAME's Information Technology Manual and is expected to abide by the rules and regulations mentioned in it.

FLAME also has computer labs which students can use for their projects and group work. The labs are equipped with a reprographics section to cater to their printing, photocopying and scanning needs.

East, West & North Housing

FLAME Campus is a fully residential community that nurtures a network of friends, with care and empathy, so that students not only have a sense of independence and freedom to take responsibility for themselves, but also, at the same time, feel constantly guided and looked after. This helps generate and maintain in the campus an atmosphere that is informal but respectful, intimate but open, and relaxed but caring.


FLAME students live in housing blocks divided into three broad areas viz West Housing, East Housing and North Housing.  Each area is further divided into housing buildings each of which is equipped with all the modern amenities and facilities including Wi-Fi and refreshment cafés close by. All the housing buildings are within easy walking distance of the classrooms, academic areas and sports facilities. The student accommodation is on twin sharing basis. Every room is equipped with an electronic safety deposit box to store valuables. FLAME provides, in some of the areas, facilities for viewing DTH TV at cost. Some of the housing buildings also have common areas that include reading rooms, discussion rooms, television rooms and storage rooms.
