Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is pleased to welcome Sarang Kulkarni (alumni J.J.Institute of Applied Art and Chief Designer WhiteCrow Design) on campus for a lecture demonstration on Saturday 15 and Sun.16 Oct'16.
WhiteCrow is a Type Foundry and a Design Studio, based in Mumbai.Known for designing the famous Star TV, Fevicol, Vodafone and Frooti logos to name a few. Started by Sarang Kulkarni in the year 2005, the company has steadily found its niche in multi-lingual branding, type design and calligraphy.
A collective of type designers, the WhiteCrow team focuses on creating customized typefaces in all India scripts - Devanagari, Bangla, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gurmukhi, Meitei Mayek (Manipuri), Oriya and Urdu, along with the Latin script.
The talk will discuss various case studies on day 1.
Day 2, the focus will be on Design Identity.
