Prof. Yugank Goyal
Founding DirectorYugank studied engineering in India, and law and economics (Master's and Ph.D.) in Europe as Erasmus Mundus Fellow. Prior to joining FLAME to set up the Centre, he was one of the founding faculty members at OP Jindal Global University. He also sits on the board of the Indian School of Public Policy, which he helped establish. His research interests span across regulation, development, institutions, and higher education. Prof. Viraj Shah
HistoryViraj Shah is an archaeologist, specialized in ancient Indian art, architecture, iconography and socio-religious history. She has Master’s degrees in Ancient Indian Culture and Archaeology from Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune, and in History from Mumbai University. She earned her Ph.D. in Archaeology from Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed University), Pune.
Prof. Shivakumar Jolad

Prof. Gopalan Kaushik
Data VisualizationProf. Kaushik Gopalan is Associate Professor – Computer Science at FLAME University. He completed his MS & PhD from the University of Florida, USA in the field of Electrical Engineering in 2005 and 2008 respectively. Kaushik’s research has involved applying statistical analysis and methods to solve a variety of problems in the field of Satellite Remote Sensing, with a focus on the retrieval of geophysical parameters from satellite data.
Prof. Prasad Pathak
GISPrasad Pathak is a physical geographer with specialization in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems. Using these techniques Prasad studies various environmental phenomena. He completed his doctoral degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), NC, USA. For his doctoral work, Prasad studied glacial lakes in arctic Alaska for changes in their trophic structure and its links with surrounding landscapes.
Prof. Poonam Gandhi
SociologyProf. Poonam Gandhi holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (specifically in sociology of art). from M.S. University Baroda, where she also did her Masters. Her areas of research interests are Sociology of Art and Culture, Sociology of Gender and Family, Urban Heritage and Social Gerontology.
