DESCRIPTION:\nDear Student,\nFLAME Upskill is a series of exclusive workshops for high
school students on interdisciplinary topics from various fields spanning hu
manities, sciences, artificial intelligence, communication, sports, and art
s amongst others. The series will focus on helping high school students dev
elop crucial skills necessary for a journey of lifelong learning. The serie
s has been conceptualized as a reflection of the liberal education ethos pr
actised and delivered at FLAME University. Attendees will receive a Letter
of Participation in appreciation for their efforts during the workshop. The
se workshops will be conducted for a limited number of participants and sel
ection will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. \n\n\n This workshop
is exclusively for high school students (Grades X, XI and XII). No other c
ategory of participants will be approved to attend the workshop. All partic
ipants who attend the complete workshop will receive a certificate or lette

pleted MA in Philosophy from California State University of Los Angeles and
BA in Philosophy from Biola University.\nProf. Michael has over three year
s of work experience and was associated with Valparaiso University.\nHe lov
es introducing students to the philosophical conversation and the skills re
quired to do it effectively. He also enjoys thinking about what beliefs are
, what sort of control we have over them, and under what conditions we are
blameless in holding them. In addition, he takes great pleasure in applying
the tools of philosophy to question religious practices – for example, the
