 Speaker: Prof. Maitrayee Chaudhuri is the President, Indian Sociological So

 ial Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New De
 lhi. Prof. Chaudhuri's research interests have been on the making of the pu
 blic discourse in modern India. Her early work focused on nationalism, colo
 nialism, and feminism in India. Since the early 1990s, she has been looking
  at the changing nature of public discourse in the context of both neoliber
 alism and the rise of majoritarianism.\n
