< strong>About the event: Behavioral economics (BE) investigates a b road range of topics at the intersection of economics and psychology. BE po sits that economic agents' preferences are, to a large extent, non-selfish. The mini-lecture on BE will briefly discuss the evidence accumulated over about five decades around the globe on a few fundamental economic games tha t have become an integral part of any introductory course in BE. The hope i s to familiarize the audience with what all economics in its current state can explore.
About the speaker: Prof. Subhasish Du gar is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Utah, USA. Before joining the University of Utah, Prof. Dugar was an Associate Profess or in Economics at the University of Calgary, Canada.
Prof. Subhasish's research and teaching interests include Psychology & Economics, Laborat ory & Field Experiments, Applied Game Theory, Micro Theory, Norms & Economics, Managerial Economics, and Economics of Organizations. He has ex tensively worked in several aspects of Behavioral Economics, and his papers are published in top-tier economics journals.
