DESCRIPTION:FLAME University is conducting an interactive lecture demonstration on the 
 prominent Indian instrument, the Sitar on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 7 p
 m at Kalidas on FLAME campus. \n
In this demo lecture, Prof. Srinivas Reddy
  will introduce the Sitar, which embodies ancient technologies and modern i
 nnovations. He will also discuss how the sitar represents the syncretic nat
 ure of Hindustani raga music and will also cover aspects such as, instrumen
 t design, raga exposition, and aesthetic appreciation, as well as how the i
 nstrument is used in various genres, from classical raga music to Bollywood
 . The interactive session will also include a short sitar performance and a
 mple time for open discussion.\n
