SUMMARY:"Why India’s Health Data Needs a Booster Jab" a talk by Dr. Amir Ullah Khan.
DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n
Today, India’s health indicators come from a variety of surveys.
However, many of the existing datasets are not shared even between ministr
ies and are not open-sourced for use by analysts. The big problem arises ev
en after the data is collected, as some of the key indicators often remain
missing from these datasets. Erroneous data is another serious concern. Whi
le money and resources have been allocated towards better data collection,
the problem is in terms of design, transparency, and confidence in releasin
g the information collected. The paucity of information has several implica
 tions.\n
