SUMMARY:Seminar on "Behavioral System, Ideals and Work Engagement" by Dr. Smita Chaudhry, Department of Human Resources, FLAME University
DESCRIPTION:Ideals or Idiosyncratic deals are the informal and ad-hoc negotiations that
some employees may have with their employer over the course of employment
based on special conditions specific to them. Ideals may pertain to task re
sponsibilities, location and schedule of work, financial arrangements and d
evelopmental opportunities. Employees may bargain for ideals at the time of
recruitment, during the course of employment, or at the stage of leaving t
he organization. Existing literature on ideals indicates the specific antec
edents and consequences of different types of ideals in organizations. Howe
ver, it does not provide a holistic understanding of the role of ideals in
enhancing employee performance. The objective of our study is to address th
is gap by exploring the relation between individual behavioral system, succ
ess with ideals and work engagement.\n\n The Zoom meeting details are as fo
