  been one of the potential means to increase women's socio-economic empower
 ment. However, this also has the potential of further excluding sections of
  women given many socio-cultural factors. Furthermore, the persistent digit
 al divide between men and women is not only about providing access but also
  about providing the capacity to make meaningful use of the technology. The
  discussion will focus on field insights from the 'ground-up' from several 
 current initiatives, with a particular focus on digital finance for the tra
