 E University is pleased to welcome Kasivisvanathan "Chelva" Chelvakumar, Vi
 siting Professor at IIT - Gandhinagar. Professor Chelvakumar received a Ph.
 D. in Mechanical and Civil Engineering with a minor in Aeronautics from the
  California Institute of Technology and a Health Care Executive MBA from th
 e University of California, Irvine. His extensive cross-sectoral experience
  includes serving as the President of EPIR Technologies, Inc., a research, 
 development and manufacturing company for the U.S. defense agencies and wor
 king as a tenure-track faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, where 
 he led the structural design team of the Mars Rover robotics project. Profe
 ssor Chelvakumar has also acted as a shuttle diplomat in the Sri Lankan Civ
 il War during the 80’s and 90’s working between the governments of Sri Lank
 a and India and the Tamil leadership. For more information about Professor
