  Rodríguez is a Venezuelan sociologist, with an M.Phil. in Environment and 
 Development from the University of Cambridge, England, a Ph.D. in Developme
 nt Studies from the University of Sussex, England. She specializes in local
  environmental knowledge and conflict transformation using participatory ac
 tion-research. In close collaboration with Latin American Institutions she 
 seeks to contribute to a regional specific conflict transformation approach
  to environmental conflicts, focusing on issues of local history, power, en
 vironmental justice, equity and intercultural dialogue. She is the co-found
 er of Grupo Confluencias, a network of Latin American practitioners, resear
 chers and institutions for joint research, deliberation, and training on en
 vironmental conflict transformation, and is member of the Global Environmen
 tal Justice Group from the School of International Development, University 
 of East Anglia (UEA).\n
