 ions of violence by means of agent-based computational modelling and disagg
 regated empirical analysis. More specifically, his work examines the endoge
 nous relationships among: (i) the characteristics, beliefs, and interests o
 f relevant actors; (ii) social mechanisms and emergent social structures th
 at shape attitudes, decision-making and behavior; and (iii) patterns of vio
 lence. His articles appear in the American Journal of Political Science, Co
 mparative Politics, Conflict Management & Peace Science, Complexity, Jo
 urnal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation, Journal of Conflict Re
 solution, Journal of Peace Research Journal of Politics, and Nationalism &a
 mp; Ethnic Politics, among others.\n\n\nProf. Ravi Bhavnani will be talking
  on his book "Peace and Conflict" brought out by the Center for Internation
 al Development and Conflict Management and published by Routledge. He will 
 also discuss the various research projects that he and the Institute are in
