  2016, this year’s expectations from the budget are undoubtedly exceptional
 . Every common person is expecting an increased tax exemption limit, and re
 bates on housing loans as an effect of demonetisation and GST. On this note
 , the Department of Economics, FLAME University is organizing a Pre- Budget
  Panel Discussion on Monday, 23 January 2017, where eminent panellists woul
 d discuss expectations of different sectors of the economy from Union Budge
 t 2017-2018.\n\n\nThe panel members will discuss expectations from the budg
 et on aspects such as a) improving macroeconomics variables, b) banking sec
 tor development, c) impetus to industries and d) utilization of non-profit
