BIO
Prof. Indrani Rao completed her B.Sc. from D.G. Ruparel College in Mumbai and her M.Sc. from University of Mumbai. She completed her Ph.D. from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her thesis, titled “Stability of non-characteristic boundary layers of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations” has applications in the aviation industry. Thereafter, she has taught Mathematics for three years in S.P. College, Pune at both the Bachelor’s and the Master’s levels.

Prof. Rao’s primary academic interest is teaching. She enjoys interacting with students and working towards making Mathematics accessible to them. She is also currently pursuing research in topics related to her Ph.D. thesis.
