Associate Professor of Practice - Computer Science
Prof. Anuradha Laxminarayan is Associate Professor of Practice Computer Science at FLAME University. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from University of Pune.
Anuradha started her career in Research on Program Transformations at TRDDC and then went on to teach at the CS department, University of Pune for a few years. She was associated with Thermax, Tata Elxsi, Cirrus Logic & Cradle and Persistent Computing Institute.
Her areas of work in the industry have primarily been system software, compilers, software tools, program transformation and re-engineering. And over the years, she has developed an expertise in Functional Programming, Programming Language Implementation and semantics. Programming Pedagogy coupled with many experiments in the form and content of computing has been a thread running throughout her career. This has been marked by the use and implementation of avante garde languages like Scheme, Haskell and Erlang and has built software teams around these.
She also has interest in notational systems of various kinds of which programming languages are just special cases. Recently this has taken the form of exploration and implementation of a Laban dance notator and animator.
