Prof.Diganta has worked as Human Resource Management professional for more than five years following his PGDBM from Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM), Kolkata, in 2000. During this time, he has worked in diverse industries such as consulting, healthcare and manufacturing. In 2005, he joined the three-year Management Teacher Program offered by ICFAI Institute for Management Teachers, Hyderabad as a Research Scholar and completed advanced level coursework in management as part of the program. He was a Visiting Scholar at College of Business Administration, University of Toledo, Ohio, USA between 2007 & 2008.
He joined ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad in 2008 as Assistant Professor and taught several post-graduate courses in the area of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. He was actively involved in the review and development of course curriculum and content delivery through case method. He also conducted several sessions in different Management Development Programs (MDPs) organized by IBS for corporate executives, apart from workshops for student and faculty members. He has fourteen years of overall work experience in healthcare, manufacturing, management education and training.
Diganta was awarded a PhD degree by The ICFAI University, Dehradun in 2012. The title of his thesis was: “Impact of HR Practices Identified as High Performance Work Systems on Operational and Financial Performance of a Firm: A Study of Service Sector in India”. His thesis was subsequently published as a book by an international publisher. He has authored more than twenty research papers and articles till now, published in national and international journals and magazines.
