Opportunities

Placements at FLAME School of Performing Arts

Careers in the performing arts were deemed largely unacceptable in Indian society some time ago. Now, perceptions are changing. Many people are attracted to the idea of working in the performing arts. The main reason for this change is the increase in opportunities in the field. The most obvious of these is to become a performing artist: a singer, a musician, an actor or a dancer. Apart from these vocations, there are many more opportunities that are available to individuals trained in performing arts:

  • Acting and directing theatre performances, including plays and musicals
  • Dance, involving choreographers and dancers creating everything from classical ballet to music video routines
  • Music, from classical and popular musicians to promoters and managers
  • Design, including costume, make-up, stage sets, props, lighting and sound
  • Backstage jobs in stage management and organization
  • Performing arts administrator, agent, reviewer, industry analyst or promoter

Students are encouraged to attend workshops, seminars and conferences organized on and off campus. This enables them to develop a deeper understanding of, and vision for, their future career and area of expertise, while also weaving a valuable network of contacts in their respective fields.

FLAME School of Performing Arts provides exposure to the national and international arts world; from the film industry of Mumbai, to the theatre circuit of London. All students will be given necessary skills and experience to choose the career that makes best use of their talent.

Exchange Programs / Overseas Programs
FLAME has already started building strong relationships with international organizations, to arrange placements and programs where deserving students get a chance to travel abroad for internships, placements or creative exchanges.

In association with London International Festival of Theatre, FLAME School of Performing Arts created international placements for post-graduate students. The placements involved working with local artists in London, in administration and creative engagement for the festival.

International Footprints

FLAME School of Performing Arts has many international collaborations and offers its students opportunities at a global level.
