Liberal Education at FLAME

Liberal Education is designed for modern day polymaths, whose curiosity and expertise spans several areas. After all, curious minds seek new ideas and thoughts. It’s our thoughts and beliefs that are our windows to the world. How much of it we perceive depends on how wide we open those windows. At FLAME, we invite students to widen their perspectives through liberal education.

Liberal Education implies acquiring breath of knowledge through exposure to several disciplines and depth of knowledge by mastering a few. The sciences and the arts are explored. Languages are deciphered. Life skills are taught. A liberal education trusts its students. It knows that there is magic within the individual that can, and must be unleashed. It values the freedom of the mind. It values individual thinking. It is academic training that doesn’t end with the final exam. It trains you to think through issues analytically and communicate your thoughts effectively. It doesn’t disappear after you submit your thesis. It stays with you for a lifetime.

The FLAME School of Liberal Education is the first institution in India that nurtures talent through Liberal Education. It allows you to get involved in your education from day one. We don’t tell you what courses to take. Here, education isn’t compartmentalized. Here, you can blend varied passions. You can have a passion for philosophy, but still be drawn to journalism. You may find music and math equally invigorating and pursue both with equal vigor. The FLAME School of Liberal Education encourages you, to build your own course of study by choosing courses that appeal to you. It lets you be, it lets you explore and gives you time to understand which career path best meets your goals and objectives. It is a four-year undergraduate program for students who have completed their 12th grade. At the end of four years, students are awarded a B.A. / BBA Degree and a Diploma in Liberal Education on successfully completing the program's requirements.
