FLAME University student shares her experience of studying at Yale

There lies a certain romance in studying at an Ivy League institution, somewhat afforded by Harvey Specter, Elle Woods, and Gilmore Girls. I was lucky enough to study at one such institution – Yale University – this summer, and found the realities of the experience extremely enriching. The academic standards, infrastructure, and student activities at Yale were excellent – being in a diverse city like New Haven also allowed for fine(r) tuned understandings of America’s complicated socio-cultural politics. My main takeaway from the experience however, was the near exact similarity between FLAME and Yale in most aspects, highlighting how privileged we are as students of the institution, and how deeply layered, contextual, and beneficial the education we receive is. I am sure therefore, that future newsletters from across the world will open with “there lies a certain romance in studying at FLAME University..”
