The Center for South Asia at FLAME invites you to a Symposium on Secularism: Hearing each other, Redefining secularism to be held on Wednesday, 28th October between 5.00 - 8:00 pm at Chanakya I.
The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions is having the 2009 Parliament event in Melbourne, Australia from 3rd - 9th December.
The symposium at FLAME is one of the many pre-parliament events held across the world to work towards the main event titled 'Hearing each other, Healing the World'.The main event will be one of the largest global inter religious gathering, held once every five years, bringing together over 8000 people from across the world who will share ways to build a just, peaceful and sustainable world.
The primary objective of our event at FLAME is to generate questions for the “Global Questions Campaign’
(http://www.parliamentofreligions.org/index.cfm?n=6&sn=13) We will use the Appreciative Inquiry method to deliberate on the theme and questions to find possible solutions to make recommendations and share our concerns. Our questions will be uploaded on the PWR website and may be selected to be deliberated in the main event at Melbourne.
It is organized by the students of Center of South Asia and will be facilitated by Reena Ginwala and Kunal Turakia, who are taking workshops and sessions for the main event in Melbourne as well.
