To be run by students
Pune, 8th Sept 09
FLAME(Foundation for Liberal And Management Education)
launched an Investment Lab (FIL) which is a planned co curricular student run
activity that aims to provide members with skills to help them bridge theory
with practice. .
FIL believes that students pursuing all career paths need to make investment
decisions all along even though they would not consider it “investments” in
the traditional sense. The aim of FIL is to arm the participating students
with the knowledge and information about the real business world, how it
operates & to familiarize them with the process of building blocks from
theory to practice. Since this will be an initiative run by students, there
will be Elections for different posts.
FIL will conduct its activities over a two-year cycle with an annual
schedule with an academic focus in the first year and in the second year
there will be 12 guest sessions by the experts in the corporate and the
finance world. There will be an examination held during the week ten session
to ensure that students have a strong foundation to enable them to actively
participate in the upcoming activities. At the end, students will be awarded
a Certificate of Acknowledgement.
