Course Aim
Geography is both a social and natural science. Therefore, the course aims at imparting a systemic and holistic understanding about the Earth, its environment, features, and phenomena resulting from people’s activities, and the linkages between human activity and natural systems. This is achieved through the meeting of the following objectives. |

• To understand the natural world and the connection between the environment and people. Spatial distribution of physical phenomenon, resources, population, and economic activities.
• To familiarize students with basic concepts in Geography and Environmental Geography. –How natural systems function; the aerial association and spatial surface; the attitudes and values of cultural groups regarding their environment, and the role of humans as a dominant agent of change in nature. |
