Why Study Psychology?

Psychology is one of the most fascinating sciences of the twenty-first century. The human mind was once the preserve of philosophy; now psychology helps unfathom the mind's mysteries. Psychology, as a natural science, investigates the relationship between brain and behavior. As a social science it focuses on the relationship between environment and behavior.




Studying psychology provides an avenue for students to develop ‘self-awareness’ and to better understand the behavior of others. Psychology courses provide basic knowledge and principles of human behavior for students preparing for careers in social services, business, education, medicine, or law. Psychology has a multitude of real-world applications. Here are a few -
