Vinod Gandhi is a medallist from Film & Television Institute of India, Pune in Cinematography, Prof. Gandhi is a film industry and television professional since the last 35 years. He has been involved in the entire gamut of film making and Video Production (feature films, around 200 commercials shot in India and abroad, music videos and corporate films). He has also trained in TV Production under UNESCO Faculty. He was awarded Fellowship under the Colombo Plan by the Govt. of India to undergo training in Film and Documentary Production including News & Current Affairs at Visnews International, London, the one time largest Television content sourcing agency in Europe affiliated to the BBC. He has also attended a Course on Color Filming Techniques at Kodak , UK. He subsequently worked for Visnews in UK on a contract for three years. He was part of a select group of professionals for launching of Bombay Television Centre. He has worked as Chief Cameraman for Bombay and Calcutta Doordarshan. He has accompanied Prime Ministers and Presidents in their foreign travels, filmed various international sports events in India and abroad, Asian Games in Tehran, Bangkok , Wimbeldon in UK and car racing in Paris. For over five years now he has also been involved in the teaching of cinematography and direction at several well known film schools and mass media schools in Mumbai and Pune.
