Kudtarkar did his post-graduation in physics from IIT-Madras and obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics from The Institute of Mathematical Sciences,Chennai. Before joining FLAME he worked in a provincial university for a year teaching physics to Post-Graduate students. He took a break from active research and spent the next two years teaching high school students physics and mathematics.
Prof.Kudtarkar's research interests include modeling the interaction of sub-atomic particles called quarks and gluons, field theory of condensed matter and statistical physics, and he is keenly looking forward to work in the emerging field of econophysics.
