| After completing graduation with Political Science, Sociology, and French in
1994, Prof. Wagle completed her Research Masters in Modern French Literature
from Sorbonne-Paris, and Diploma in French civilization from Alliance
Francaise de Paris in 1995. Prof. Wagle taught French for 12 years at
Alliance Francaise de Poona and has also taught in Fergusson College Pune
and Dept. of Modern European Languages -University of Pune. Well versed in
fine arts, Prof. Wagle has taught English, Dance and Drama to children of
10-15 years age for 4 years. She has been participating in NGO activities
(Vanasthali Rural Development Center) and Association of Friends of France,
Pune, for the last 15 years. Having conceptualized choreographic
representations of contemporary painting, Prof. Wagle has been part of the
organizing team of Su-Darshan Art Gallery since its inception in 2003, and
has worked with and directed a group of adolescent performers in a literary
musical presentation based on "Vaachu Aanande" a set of four books created
to introduce children aged between 10 and 15 to the world of Marathi
literature and contemporary Indian art compiled and edited by Madhuri
Purandare and Prof. Wagle in 2002. She has also directed a theatre production C1123007,
based on a concept by Dr. Jayant Narlikar in 2008, Prof. Wagle is a professional French
translator and interpreter for technical and non-technical domains and has
translated literary works from French to Marathi and vice versa that have
been published in India and France. She has also been subtitling Indian
films in French. |
