Siraj Syed After having completed his graduation in Science as well as Law under Bombay University by 1980, he went on to complete Diploma in Cinema, Advertising and Marketing by 1981-82. He has a language proficiency over 13 languages. He also has completed Advanced Course in Film Appreciation in Mumbai in 1995 and also Advanced Toastmaster Gold (ATM-G) and Competent Leader (CL)- Toastmasters International, Singapore/U.S.A. (Communications & Leadership Training Programme) – 2000. Pursued copywriting, PR consultancy and journalism as well. Was the Founder-Editor of India’s first music monthly magazine, Playback and then took over as Editor of TV&Video World. Has had Editorial stints with Screen weekly and Jansatta Hindi daily. He is the pioneer of designing a course to teach the art and more on Radio Jockeying. Many of his former students are Directors, Programming Heads, RJs, Voice-Over artistes, actors, advertising and PR practitioners & journalists. In 1996, he was chosen to set-up ESPN’s Hindi service in Singapore and also has a stint with Globe Advertising, Dubai Media City, as Copywriter, in 2003. He has a teaching experience in various Institutes across the country and abroad in radio, TV, and Films. |
