Prof. Meena Sridharan With a post graduate degree in English and American Literature and Phonology from the University of Madras, Prof. Meena Sridharan teaches Japanese and English Language and Communication . She also holds a degree from Cambridge University for the teaching of English language to adults. Prof. Sridharan completed her degree in advanced level Japanese from the Naganuma School in Tokyo, in addition to a degree from the Japan Foundation. She has also completed her Diploma in the French language from Alliance Francaise, Ahmedabad. Prof .Sridharan is proficient in German and Sanskrit. She has been a visiting faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad in the Communications Area, teaching Business Japanese. She has had extensive experience with the corporate training programmes in Japanese and English at various locations in the country, being involved with companies like the Sarabhai group, TCS, Tata Elxsi, HCL, Accenture, Sasken Technologies and others. She has been closely involved in the Japanese language activities and teachers’ research groups in Bangalore and Mumbai. She has also participated in the rater research study programmes of the ETS- TOEFL. While working as senior faculty member, Nihongo Bashi, ( Singapore/India ), Prof Sridharan headed the Instructional Research and curriculum design area. As part of a cultural sensitization initiative, she has delivered India-Japan cross-cultural seminars across the country to various corporate bodies. Prof Sridharan currently teaches at Mumbai . |
